The Mosque Khazret Sultan
At the suggestion of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the mosque named "Hazrat Sultan", which means "Holy Sultan". As you know, "Hazrat Sultan" is one of the epithets of the Sufi Sheikh Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the author of "divan-I Hikmet", whose mausoleum is in Turkestan.
The Palace of peace and accord
The Palace of peace and harmony — the building of pyramidal form, created by the architect sir Norman foster in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan especially for the "Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions". Pyramid — center of religious studies and religious tolerance.
According to the legends of the Kazakh people, on the banks of the World river grows the Tree of Life, called Baiterek. This tree flies Samruk, a sacred bird of happiness to carry in the nest on top of a Golden egg. The egg symbolizes the Sun, giving life and hope. But down among the roots, Aydahar is hiding the evil dragon who wants to eat the egg.
Khan Shatyr is another striking landmark in the modern architecture of Astana, and at the same time, a huge shopping centre. Besides, it is the largest tent in the world: the spire is 150 meters and the total area of 127 thousand sq. m.
National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan
National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan was opened on 2 July 2014. Is the largest Museum in the country.
